DreamGirls offers a path to success & self reliance.

DADASTORIES.org is a collaborative girls-led community media project rolled out through the WezeshaDada program implemented in Nairobi and Kisumu.

What we do

We create community friendly media content to support the implementation of projects and programs. We empower communities to tell their stories in an impactful way through film, photography, radio and print media.

WezeshaDada Program

Impact on community

A media and ICT training project targeting under privileged adolescent girls and young women from Nairobi and Kisumu, ages 16-24. The girls are put in a path of success with a chance to sustainably grow themselves.

We enroll vulnerable girls who demonstrate passion and commitment for
media and their willingness to be ambassadors of change.

Film Making

The girls are taught basic operations of camera, cinematography lighting, sound recording and raw footage editing.


Dreamgirls are trained on photo composition rules, lenses, lighting and basic digital editing techniques.

Basic Journalism

The skills taught are basic elements of journalism, feature Writing and editorials, media management and public relations


Impacts knowledge on how to run a successful business. Skills include basic accounting, marketing and finance.

Business Mentorship

The girls are taught how to have the right mindset for success. They are prepared to mentor other people in their communities

Graphic Design

They are taught how to design posters, brochures, flyers and utilzing softwares such as the adobe creative suite amongst others.
